More snow, strong winds expected to cause more power outages in Michigan

More snow and strong winds are predicted in Michigan, forecasted to cause additional power outages. As of Saturday, more than 180,000 customers of DTE Energy and Consumers Energy were affected by power outages, with Michigan experiencing more outages than any other U.S. state. These conditions are attributed to a winter storm, which is expected to continue with high wind gusts up to 45mph and falling temperatures. Consumers Energy has reported that over 450 crews of lineworkers and contractors are working to restore power. Additional snowfall is expected, particularly in West Michigan, with wind chills predicted to drop below zero.
