More “measured” approach will deliver further progress in F1 2024

The soon-to-be-renamed Formula 1 team, formerly known for struggling with their car’s performance, has made significant progress by revamping their aerodynamics and switching to Red Bull’s rear suspension, leading to a finish at eighth in the constructors’ championship. Technical director, Jody Egginton, suggested that they can continue to make gains without the intense approach that marked 2023. The team plans to form a closer alliance with Red Bull and use more customer components. Egginton believes that a stronger car at the season’s start will allow for a more measured and consistent development approach. Despite their disappointing launch car last year, AlphaTauri proved its ability to bounce back, providing the team with valuable insights for in-season development.
