Michigan and Washington will face off in the 2024 college football championship : NPR
The Michigan Wolverines and the Washington Huskies will compete in this year’s national college football championship. The Wolverines defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide 27-20 in the Rose Bowl, with quarterback J.J. McCarthy having three touchdown passes to running back Blake Corum and wide receivers Tyler Morris and Roman Wilson, while Corum ran for a touchdown in overtime. The Huskies also remained undefeated, beating the Texas Longhorns 37-31 in the Sugar Bowl, with running back Dillon Johnson scoring two touchdowns. The national championship will be held in Houston and is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 8 at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN. It would be Michigan’s first championship win since 1997.
