Massive fire engulfs large industrial building in Elizabeth, New Jersey
A four-alarm fire is raging through a large industrial complex in Elizabeth, New Jersey, known as Elizabeth Industrial Park. The fire, which started in building F6, has spread to several other buildings and is expected to burn for days. More than 100 firefighters have responded to the scene, with firefighting efforts hampered by numerous non-functional fire hydrants at the complex. The buildings are thought to have housed a toy manufacturing business, and the burning of plastics could pose a toxic air risk. The cause of the fire is not yet known, no injuries have been reported, and no one was in the buildings when the fire broke out.
