Manhunt in Tennessee for ‘armed and dangerous’ suspect in fatal shooting of deputy at traffic stop

A manhunt is underway in Tennessee for Kenneth DeHart, 42, suspected of fatally shooting a deputy and injuring another during a traffic stop. The incident occurred after DeHart refused to cooperate with deputies and exit his vehicle, leading to a confrontation in which shots were fired. The two officers, Greg McCowan and Shelby Eggers, were both hit; McCowan later died in hospital while Eggers, who returned fire, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. DeHart fled the scene and is considered armed and dangerous. The Tennessee Bureau of investigation is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
