Man who attacked Las Vegas judge in viral video faces new charges
Deobra Delone Redden, a convict in Nevada, physically attacked Judge Mary Kay Holthus during his sentencing hearing. The attack occurred after Redden had been convicted of attempted battery causing substantial bodily harm. Redden now faces over a dozen new charges, including coercion with force, intimidation of a public officer, extortion, and multiple counts of battery on a protected person. The judge suffered minor injuries while a courtroom marshal suffered a gash on his head and a dislocated shoulder. Redden remained jailed without bond and had his court date rescheduled.
