Man Suspected of Killing 3 Homeless Men in Los Angeles Is Arrested

A suspect has been apprehended in relation to the killing of three homeless men in Los Angeles, with officials connecting him to a fourth homicide. The suspect, Jerrid Joseph Powell, was already in custody after being linked to a killing during a robbery in San Dimas, California. The three homeless victims, all men alone in open areas or alleys, were shot in the early morning hours. Officials have identified a vehicle that they believe was used in all four homicides and linked it to Powell. The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority last reported that there were 46,260 people who were homeless in the city, a 10% increase from the year prior.
