Man shot, killed by police officer in Manchester had pleaded guilty to bank robberies

A man named Jake Chiaradonna, 35, was shot by a police officer and later died in a hospital in Manchester. He also stabbed a K-9 unit named Duke with a screwdriver before fleeing on foot. Chiaradonna, who was in a supervised three-year release after serving a federal prison sentence for bank robbery, was eventually shot and succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
