Man accused of attacking woman, brandishing large knife in Ventura County
Michael Turner, 29, was arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence, and criminal threats on January 9th. The arrest followed a previously reported incident on December 28th, where Turner reportedly attacked a 27-year-old woman, believed to be his girlfriend, and threatened her with a large knife in the wooded area near Central Avenue and Vineyard Avenue intersection in Oxnard, Ventura County. Turner allegedly threatened another 52-year-old woman, causing her to fear for her safety as well. He was not immediately found due to the dense foliage and challenging terrain, but was later located in Santa Clara River bottom. He is now being held on $50,000 bail.
