Man, 30, faces charges in deaths of FHP trooper, truck driver
A 30-year-old man from Lauderhill, Florida, Michael Anthony Addison, is facing 12 charges related to the deaths of a Florida Highway Patrol trooper and a truck driver. Addison was arrested on Friday at the St. Lucie County Jail and made his first court appearance via Zoom on Saturday morning. The charges include two counts of murder, two counts of killing a person with a vehicle, and others related to fleeing and eluding with lights and siren active, driving on a suspended license resulting in death, resisting an officer with violence, and aggravated fleeing with death. Two additional charges are linked to warrants for aggravated assault and felon in possession of a firearm in Broward County.
