Major indoor flood causes Compton Courthouse to close until further notice

The Compton Courthouse has been closed indefinitely due to major flooding caused by a pipe burst. The flood left the elevators, stairwells, and lobby inaccessible, with the extent of the damage yet to be assessed by the Judicial Council of California who operate the facility. Meanwhile, all vital and in-custody matters are being transferred to other courthouses. Parties to cases will be notified of any changes via counsel or in person. For additional assistance, queries and updates can be made through Court’s online services, by calling 310-761-4300, or via the Court’s social media.
