Attendance at Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) schools bounced back to 82% on Tuesday despite ongoing rain, up from 63% the previous day. All but two LAUSD campuses were open, with Vinedale College Preparatory Academy set to reopen on Wednesday and Topanga Elementary Charter School remaining closed. Malibu schools, part of the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District, were closed Monday and Tuesday due to reports of mud and rock flows but were scheduled to reopen on Wednesday. The district confirmed that over 93% of teachers were present on Tuesday.
