Laura Jean Band Performs at Che’s Lounge | Music Feature
The Laura Jean Band, led by Tucson-based artist Laura Kepner-Adney, is set to perform at Che’s Lounge in February and March. Kepner-Adney, who is inspired by country, Appalachian, and rock sounds, performs as a solo artist and with her band, which also includes Bob Lopez-Hanshaw, Julius Schlosburg, and Clay Koweek. The band will perform new songs as well as music from Kepner-Adney’s former band, Laura and the Killed Men. They recently released a holiday song, “I Won’t Be Home for Christmas,” and plan to release more songs in the future. Kepner-Adney, originally from Wisconsin, was influenced by Appalachian-style music in college and her music has developed a western country sound with rock elements.
