The identities revealed in the documents had mostly been known from previous public documents and many were not part of any criminal investigation. Former Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump were mentioned in the unsealed depositions, but neither is accused of wrongdoing. Epstein committed suicide in a New York City jail cell in 2019 while facing multiple sex-trafficking charges.
