Las Ahumaderas, a food-court-style taco restaurant, now open – NBC 7 San Diego

A new taco shop, “Las Ahumaderas: The Original Tijuana Taco,” has opened in South Bay, San Diego. The restaurant, which has the same name as a popular taco alley in Tijuana, was acquired by Pedro Rodríguez, whose uncle founded the original “El Poblano” taco stands and named the site. While the Tijuana location consists of multiple taco stands, the South Bay location is a single taqueria aiming to recreate the same flavors and atmosphere. The menu features a variety of tacos alongside sides and drinks, jointly offered with businesses Helote and Creperia Nutilda. The taco shop is currently open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, with plans to extend hours and add a beer bar and sushi menu soon.
