LAPD asks for help in investigation into killings of 3 homeless people – NBC Los Angeles

Los Angeles authorities are seeking public assistance in identifying a killer who murdered three unhoused men within the last week. The similar circumstances of the attacks, which occurred on November 26, 27, and 29 in downtown Los Angeles, suggest the victims were specifically targeted. In a press conference, the LAPD shared an image from a security video potentially showing the killer and a dark-colored sedan getaway car. Homeless individuals have constituted an outsized proportion of the city’s murder victims, with 24% of the 381 murders in 2022 and 15% of 2023’s murders so far involving homeless victims. The LAPD has established a special hotline for tips on these cases.
