Kyrsten Sinema, Behind on Fund-Raising, Faces Senate Re-election Decision
In the fourth quarter, Tim Sheehy, the top Republican challenger to Mr. Tester, raised $2.5 million, including $450,000 of his own money, while Ohio’s Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown raised $6.6 million and had $14.6 million on hand. Among the top three Republicans seeking nomination in Ohio, Bernie Moreno collected $800,300 during the fourth quarter, State Senator Matt Dolan raised $357,700, and Secretary of State Frank LaRose collected $812,500. There is speculation about Ms. Sinema’s plans for a second term since leaving the Democratic Party in December 2022.
