Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) has elicited laughter from CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins for his reason for not endorsing Republican Presidential candidate Nikki Haley. Roy’s initial candidate of choice, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, dropped out of the race due to low poll numbers. When questioned about his preference between Haley and Donald Trump, Roy avoided a direct answer. He expressed his resistance to Haley due to her appearance on Saturday Night Live and her alignment with “establishment money.” Collins pointed out that Trump also spent considerable money against DeSantis, a fact that seemed to partially alter Roy’s stance.
