Jury deliberating in Marilyn Mosby’s mortgage fraud trial; supporters pray outside court
The jury has begun deliberations in the federal mortgage trial of Marilyn Mosby, former Baltimore City State’s Attorney. Mosby is accused of lying on mortgage applications for two vacation homes in Florida to obtain lower interest rates. Prosecutors’ allegations include multiple lies on mortgage documents and renting out a property even though a second home rider prohibited this action. Mosby’s defense attorney argued that Mosby had acted in good faith and made mistakes in a process with which she was not familiar. The jury will resume deliberations on Tuesday morning.
