Jewish students sue Harvard over charges of antisemitism | Harvard University

Several Jewish students at Harvard University have filed a lawsuit accusing the institution of fostering “anti-Jewish hatred and harassment”. The plaintiffs, members of the Students Against Antisemitism, allege that the university has violated Jewish students’ civil rights and tolerated harassment, assault, and intimidation. The lawsuit asserts that these incidents have escalated since a Hamas attack on Southern Israel in October. This litigation follows similar lawsuits against the Art Institute of Chicago, New York University, and the University of Pennsylvania. The universities’ responses to these allegations have stirred debates over free speech, harassment, and discrimination on campuses across the US.
