Jennifer Crumbley, mother of Michigan shooter, takes stand at involuntary manslaughter trial

Jennifer Crumbley, mother of school shooter Ethan Crumbley, testified in her involuntary manslaughter trial that, while her son was anxious about his future, she did not believe his mental health required professional attention. She also stated that her husband was responsible for storing the gun that was given to Ethan as an early Christmas gift. Crumbley is being charged in connection to the school shooting at Oxford High School in Michigan in which four students were killed in 2021. This is an unusual case where the parent of a school shooter is facing criminal charges. If found guilty, each of the Crumbley parents could face up to 15 years in prison and a $7,500 fine per charge.
