Is there a threat of an attack from the north?
The situation on Ukraine’s northern borders is under control, with the Armed Forces engaged in the construction of fortifications and mining of territories, according to Lieutenant General Serhii Naev, the commander of the United Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. During his visit to one of the strongholds of the Defense Forces in the Kyiv region, he awarded servicemen for their service. The stronghold also has a medical dugout for military personnel with injuries or health issues. Naev noted that Russian military forces in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions remain about 19,000 strong, adding there is no cause for alarm as Ukrainian intelligence is closely monitoring the situation.
