This rebuttal is an attempt to counter the contempt of Congress case that Republicans are pursuing against Hunter Biden. Despite this, the Judiciary and Oversight Committees, who issued the subpoenas, have voted to hold Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress. The full House is expected to vote on the matter next week.
