How many inches of snow in Chicago? Snow totals from the big winter storm

The Chicago area was hit with up to 13 inches of snow from a recent winter storm, with the city experiencing accumulations of 5 to 6 inches in some areas. Much of this snow was washed away by midday rains. The official snowfall total for Chicago at O’Hare International Airport came in at 6.7 inches, while Bull Valley, located about 60 miles northwest of the city, saw the highest snowfall total at 11.4 inches. These measurements were reported to the National Weather Service.
