Houston’s most sandwich-obsessed chef heads to Milwaukee for Top Chef Season 21

Three Texas chefs, Kévin D’Andrea, Amanda Turner, and Michelle Wallace, will compete in the 21st season of “Top Chef,” premiering March 20 on Bravo. D’Andrea, founder of Foliepop’s, previously competed in Top Chef France in 2015. Turner, acclaimed for her work at Southern restaurant Olamaie, won Chef of the Year in the 2023 CultureMap Austin Tastemaker Awards. Wallace, previously of Gatlin’s BBQ and now at B’tween Sandwich Co., earned a 2021 CultureMap Houston Tastemaker Award nomination. The season will introduce a change; winning a Quickfire Challenge will now bring a cash prize, but not immunity from elimination.
