Despite Davis Mills being Stroud’s backup for the season, the Texans are opting for Keenum due to his big-game experience. Keenum, who started his NFL career with the Texans, has played for several teams including the Rams, Vikings, Broncos, Washington, Cleveland, and Buffalo. Most notably, in 2017, he led the Vikings to a last-second win in a playoff game against New Orleans.
