Houston police officer arrested after being accused of assault
Houston Police Department (HPD) officer, Valeriano Rios, was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on charges of domestic violence. Rios, who has been an officer since May 2013, is currently relieved of duty pending an internal affairs investigation. He was accused of throwing a metal cup at a woman, causing injury. Initial information regarding the arrest was posted on social media by HPD, but was later removed due to Rios’s role as an undercover officer.
