The Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Houston has warned parishioners about email scams pretending to be from a priest. The email was distributed in Spanish, focusing particularly on the Hispanic community. Parishioner Xochil Vivero received one such email but did not fall for the scam. Tech expert Michael Garfield advises skepticism towards all online communication and suggests verifying the source by calling the supposed sender. He also warned that logos can be easily copied, so their presence does not necessarily indicate legitimacy.
