House Votes to Back Opening of GOP Impeachment Probe of Biden

The House of Representatives has narrowly approved the opening of an impeachment investigation into President Biden, following his son Hunter Biden’s refusal to testify on Capitol Hill. The House vote was 221-212 along party lines to authorize the Republicans’ impeachment probe, initiated several months prior, which investigates possible ties between the president and his son’s overseas business dealings. While Republicans have obtained testimony that Joe Biden occasionally met with his son’s business associates before his presidency, they have not yet established proof of these claims or that he profited from his family’s overseas activities.
