Harris is in Dubai talking about climate and Gaza

Vice President Harris addressed leaders at the COP28 summit in Dubai, urging them to take stronger actions on climate change. Harris pointed out that young activists, a key demographic for the Biden-Harris ticket, possess a sense of urgency and optimism towards the climate crisis. In relation to this, Harris announced a new $3 billion pledge to the UN’s Green Climate Fund to assist developing countries in combating the effects of climate change. However, this pledge still requires congressional funding. Furthermore, concern over the U.S. support for Israel in its conflict with Hamas in Gaza was another key issue Harris sought to address, given that younger voters tend to sympathize more with Palestinians.
