Harris County judge suspended after accused of beating woman
Harris County district court judge, Frank Aguilar, has been accused of assaulting a woman and suspended from duty with pay. The incident occurred at a New Year’s Eve party at his Galveston home, where Aguilar allegedly punched the woman multiple times and choked her with his foot. Following his arrest, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office has requested Aguilar recuse himself from seven different cases involving family violence. However, Aguilar reportedly refused, leaving the decision to administrative Judge Susan Brown.
