Harris County crime: Deputies shoot woman during burglary call
A 28-year-old woman was shot by deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office in Texas while they were investigating a burglary call. The incident happened early in the morning at an apartment complex on Uvalde Road, near Wallisville Road. The deputies had responded to a robbery call, and were flagged down about a possible burglary at the unit where the woman lived. Upon knocking on the apartment door and announcing themselves, the deputies saw the woman approaching the door with a firearm and shot her. She was taken to hospital and is in stable condition. The case is being investigated by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office’s Homicide Division, Internal Affairs, and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
