Georgia defendant in Trump election case files motion accusing Fani Willis of impropriety

A defendant in the Georgia election interference case, Mike Roman, claims that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and federal prosecutor Nathan Wade have an “improper” romantic relationship, thus making the indictment “fatally defective”. Roman, who served as Trump’s director of Election Day operations, faces seven criminal charges. His lawyer provided no hard evidence but stated that “sources close” indicated the pair were in an “ongoing, personal and romantic relationship”. Roman’s lawyer seeks to dismiss the charges and block Willis, Wade and the Fulton County district attorney’s office from continuing to prosecute the case due to the alleged conflict of interest.
