Santos, who has lied about various aspects of his personal and professional life, does not seem worried about the potential 22-year prison sentence he could face for using campaign donors’ money for personal expenses. He began charging $75 per video but increased the price to $250. Santos is not the first disgraced public figure to turn to Cameo for income; Sarah Palin, for example, exceeded her previous salary as Alaska’s governor by making videos on the platform. Santos’ Cameo presence aligns with his pattern of exploiting his candidacy for personal financial profit.
