Future host of CFP title game; will Houston host again?

Houston is hosting the College Football Playoff (CFP) title game between Michigan and Washington for the first time. The city is expected to feature in future playoff games, said CFP executive director Bill Hancock. He also revealed that the playoffs would be expanded from four to twelve teams next season, but the next two seasons’ venues have already been agreed upon under the previous contract. The Houston Sports Authority intends to bid again for hosting rights, having made previous attempts to secure the game. The future of bowl games is reportedly uncertain due to the changing landscape of college football.
