Free San Diego Museum of Art admission every second Thursday

The San Diego Museum of Art is offering free general admission on the second Thursday of each month and free daily access for students and military personnel. This move is linked to a $1.6 million grant from the Art Bridges Foundation. The grant will be received over a three-year period and will also support other community access opportunities like workshops, storytelling events, free guided tours, and accessibility tours. The museum will continue to provide free entry to San Diego County residents on the third Tuesday of each month. The San Diego Museum of Art merged with the Museum of Photographic Arts last year, allowing visitors to see photographic arts.
