Five people killed in crash on Cross Island Parkway in Queens
Five people died in a car crash on the Cross Island Parkway in Queens, New York. The incident involving a Mazda SUV and a white Honda Pilot occurred early Monday morning near Exit 36 South. The Mazda, which was carrying all five victims, overturned, and at least three of its adult passengers were found outside the vehicle. The driver of the Honda survived and was taken to a local hospital in stable condition. The area of the accident is known as a dangerous turn, referred to locally as “dead man’s curve”. The authorities are still investigating the identities of the victims and the speed of the cars at the time of the accident.
