Federal judge postpones Trump’s March 4 election interference trial : NPR

The trial of former U.S. President Donald Trump on charges of plotting to overturn the 2020 U.S. election has been postponed as a crucial legal appeal from Trump remains unresolved. U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan did not indicate a new trial date, and this postponement allows another case against Trump in New York regarding hush money payments to proceed first. Trump’s legal team has argued that he is immune from prosecution for actions he undertook while in office; this claim is being disputed by special counsel Jack Smith’s team. Trump is currently facing four indictments and 91 felony counts.
