Fatal Waltham crash suspect Peter Simon faces charges

Peter Simon, 54, was charged in connection with a crash that killed Officer Paul Tracey and National Grid utility worker Rodrick Jackson in Waltham, Massachusetts. Simon was accused of several charges, including manslaughter, armed robbery, failure to stop for police, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. The incident unfolded when Simon attempted a U-turn, striking an eastbound vehicle before fatally hitting Tracey and Jackson. Simon then allegedly abandoned his vehicle, stole a police cruiser, and was apprehended after a brief foot chase. He was held without bail with a dangerousness hearing set for December 14.
