Families enjoy snowstorm in Chicagoland’s heaviest hit area

The city of Chicago experienced heavy snowfall, resulting in up to 11 inches of snow in northwestern suburbs such as Algonquin and West Dundee. The weather conditions caused disruptions on the roads, but some residents, particularly high school students on a snow day, were found enjoying it. As many as 32 Chicago Public Schools also experienced power outages during the snowstorm. Despite the chaos, some parents like Darren Blakely and Derek Adamczyk, expressed that the snow presented a good opportunity for sledding and nostalgic outdoor play for their children.
