Ex-Trump administration official shot in Washington, D.C., carjacking spree dies

Former Trump administration official Mike Gill, who worked at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, was shot during a carjacking spree in Washington D.C. and later died of his injuries. Gill’s death was announced by his wife, Kristina Gill, who described him as a dedicated family man and active community member. The attacker, identified as 28-year-old Artell Cunningham, was also responsible for the fatal shooting of another man and was later killed by police in Maryland. Gill also served as the Senior Vice President of Capital Markets at the Housing Policy Council, which acknowledged his death as a “huge loss”.
