Evacuation warnings issued for parts of Monterey County

The County of Monterey has issued two evacuation warnings in anticipation of imminent weather impacts. The warnings cover the areas of Carmel River and Bolsa Knolls and residents are advised to prepare evacuation plans in case conditions worsen. The county also advises residents with large animals to leave as soon as possible. Road closures have been implemented at Murphy Road Crossing in north Monterey County, and Ocean View Blvd. at Coral St., Acropolis St., and Asilomar Ave. in Pacific Grove. The county has provided resources for understanding advisories, watches, and warnings, as well as an atmospheric river survival guide.
