Escaped killer Danilo Cavalcante to appear in Pa. court – NBC10 Philadelphia
Convicted killer Danilo Cavalcante, who escaped from Chester County Prison in Pocopson Township, Pennsylvania, appeared in court in February 2024. Cavalcante was convicted of stabbing and killing Deborah Brandao and managed to evade capture for two weeks after his escape in late August, causing alarm in various parts of Chester County. He was recaptured on September 13, 2023, and since then has been held in another prison without bail. His escape and subsequent manhunt made headlines outside of the Philadelphia region. His court appearance was for a preliminary hearing on escape, burglary, and related charges.
