Election worker suing Rudy Giuliani testifies in defamation trial against him

A lawsuit is currently on trial to determine potential damages owed by Rudy Giuliani to former Georgia election worker, Wandrea “Shaye” Moss, and her mother, Ruby Freeman. The pair sued Giuliani after he made baseless claims of election fraud in the 2020 election, damaging the plaintiffs’ reputations and causing emotional distress. Giuliani was found by U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell to be civilly liable for defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and civil conspiracy. The trial is now in the stage of determining how much the plaintiffs should be compensated, with the plaintiffs seeking between $15.5 and $43 million. Giuliani is expected to testify.
