Drivers stuck for hours on I-93 in NH after deadly crash

Interstate 93 South in Salem was closed for hours due to a deadly crash, causing drivers to be stuck in traffic. Dave Sakowich, the managing editor of WMUR, witnessed the event at around 4:30 p.m. and claimed it took approximately four hours for any movement to occur on the highway. State police eventually allowed drivers to use the northbound lane to reduce congestion. While smaller cars had an easier exit, some larger vehicles such as tractor-trailers and buses remained on the highway. Sakowich noted that the drivers were patient and understanding given the severity of the situation.
