Dr. Christine Whitbeck will get over $350,000 payout from FBISD
Outgoing Fort Bend Independent School District Superintendent, Dr. Christie Whitbeck, will receive a payout of $352,024.92 as part of her voluntary retirement agreement. The payment will be split into two, with the first payout of $177,107 being made in two installments this month and the remaining $174,917 to be paid on June 30, 2024. Whitbeck will serve as superintendent emeritus until that date, advising the board of trustees and the new superintendent. Whitbeck took over the role at FBISD, one of the largest school districts in Texas, in October 2021. Her successor, Dr. Marc Smith, was unanimously approved by the Fort Bend Independent School District Board of Trustees.
