Downpours could lead to flooding in areas

Heavy rainfall in New Hampshire is expected to disrupt commutes on Monday, with a flood watch issued for most parts of the state north and west of Manchester. A coastal flood watch has also been issued for coastal Rockingham county, and a wind advisory for potential gusts of 50 to 55 mph in Coos, Strafford, Rockingham, Hillsborough, and Cheshire counties. The storm is forecasted to bring 1.5 to 3 inches of rain, potentially leading to flooding along area streams and small rivers and in areas of poor drainage. Winds over 40 mph may cause isolated power outages, with higher gusts predicted at the coast and in the higher terrain of northern and western New Hampshire. The adverse weather conditions could lead to low visibility and water ponding on the roads.
