Disney Settles Lawsuit Over Job Offer Tied to Tax District Dispute – The Hollywood Reporter
Disney has settled a lawsuit with former BP executive, Shanan Guinn, who accused the company of withdrawing a job offer due to a dispute with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis over control of a special tax district near Walt Disney World. The lawsuit was resolved through an undisclosed agreement. Guinn had been offered a role as head of corporate affairs under then-CEO Bob Chapek, however, the offer was withdrawn after her recruiter, Geoff Morrell, was terminated amid larger personnel changes related to Disney’s opposition to a Florida law limiting classroom discussion on sexuality.
