Dickens on the Strand in Galveston Dec. 1

The 50th anniversary of the Dickens on the Strand event, a Victorian-themed holiday celebration in Galveston, will feature appearances by nine descendants of Charles Dickens. The event, which transforms the streets of Galveston into Victorian London, pays tribute to Charles Dickens and the historical period he wrote about. According to the Galveston Historical Foundation’s Chief Creative Officer, Will Wright, the architecture of Galveston reflects the era of Dickens’ writing.
