DeSantis Finishes His Iowa 99, Hoping for a Bump Against Trump

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis completed a tour of all 99 counties in Iowa in an effort to boost his struggling presidential campaign. Despite positioning himself as a candidate willing to meet voters and receive endorsements from prominent state figures, he still trails behind former President Donald Trump in state polls. DeSantis’s tour was managed by his super PAC Never Back Down and has generated sizable crowds in small-town venues. He also received the endorsement of the popular Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds. DeSantis promised to move the headquarters of the U.S. Department of Agriculture to Iowa if he got elected.
